![]() ![]() The ground texture will have several layers (I.E different types of grass, dirt, flowers, ect). Create a new layer for the ground texture. Use a calculator if you're terrible at math like I am. To do this, you must multiply the number of tiles in your map by the number 32, as each tile is 32x32 pixels. Next, you must create a new image in your image editing software with the exact dimensions of your map. For the purposes of this tutorial, we'll be creating a smaller map. First of all, you must decide the size of your new map. Secondly, I will be using GIMP, a free image editing tool. I've provided links to both in the video description. There is an ACE version available as well. :) To start off with, you'll want to download and install Hanzo Kimura's Ultimate Overlay Mapping script for RPG Maker VX. This is only a beginner's walkthrough, so to speak. Now, I should preface this by saying that there are probably better methods of parallax mapping out there.
